Lower Battery Charge Limit

Featured Replies

I have a Superb Estate L&K new in November 2024. I want to be able to set the lower battery charge limit so that there is always some charge left in the high voltage battery. The information tag in the charging settings page in the car shows a graphic that includes this limit and describes being able to reserve charge in the high voltage battery. When I go to vehicle, charge settings I do not get an option to set the minimum charge level, only the maximum charge level can be set. Am I missing something or is it not possible to set a minimum charge level on my car?

You can save the battery charge level by enter the battery menu. Press the icon that looks like a battery and in the lower right corner in the display you choose

manual Charging Control . Then you can slide to desired level. A small tip , when you slide/set the marker you do not really know the charge level you setting . So drive until you get to the charge level you want and press the = icon.

The setting that you choose are not saved , so next time you start the car you have to do the same procedure .

The battery icon was on the top line of the display. There was no option for manual charging control. There were 2 options Drive Mode and Recuperation mode. At the bottom of that screen was a tape showing the current charge level, but no controls on the tape to change anything. If I go into Vehicle Settings, Charging, there are only 2 options Reduce AC charging current and Always unlock AC cable.

Please look at the picture taken from owners manual

Slider G is the trick

I’m not sure if the picture is visible , I have to touch the white field to see it. Otherwise it is owners manual in the starting and driving/drive selection chapter

Ah Thanks! I had not set slider G to manual. So, to set a reserved charge level, I use the arrows (E) to the level I want to stay above then press the = icon?

The E arrows set the level somewhere in the availble charge. The = set the charge level to the present level . So if the level is about 30% and you press = the level will be kept at 30%
