Does anyone have knowledge about Skoda Connect and Online?

It seems to be buggy software, which is noticeable when you try to become the main user of the car.

The first time it was a hassle when I bought Connect and was going to activate the car. I ended up with Skoda Support wanting to take it to a workshop.

I finally managed to get it working myself after reading on many forums. The last attempt, if I remember all the attempts, was to disconnect the battery for a certain time.

Now I want to update the map material in the infotainment system, which requires online service. It should only be possible to update via OTA (over the air) if I understand correctly.

Now that I have purchased it and am trying to get this into the car, the status is that I have lost both Connect and Online.

A new contact with Skoda Support gives the same result. They want to take the car to a workshop to update 2 pieces of software for 430 EUR.

Now disconnecting the battery does not help.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Anyone know what the buggy software platform problem is and if Skoda is giving any goodwill, since you are after all paying for a service that doesn't work due to buggy software?

Does anyone know what the workshop do when they have to update 2 software?

Do you get any new software with bug fixes or is the solution based on them reinstalling existing software?

Does anyone know how to solve these problems without a workshop visit?

Just got my MY2022 Kodiaq for 2-3 weeks. I've added this Kodiaq to MySkoda App, became the main user. Just struggle with adding another user without creating another account with an email address and renaming a username...

Not tried to update anything yet. Thus I can't help you sorry.

Before trying to update the map I'd like to update the radio logos because several are missing. I haven't looked how to proceed yet. I've downloaded them (and the latest map as well) from the Skoda portal, but it seems it can be done online too 🤔...

I don't what the latter means. I ain't sure it will be as quick as using USB C ports. 🤷‍♂️
