Got my vRS back, now to upgrade.

Featured Replies

I sold my immaculate silver vRS about 6-7 years ago, I often regretted it but times and needs changed. I very recently had the opportunity to buy it back, I did.

It is still in pretty excellent condition so I feel the need to subtly upgrade.

Plan is to fit a Miltek or similar exhaust with a sports cat, sensible hybrid turbo and the obligatory larger intercooler. When mapped, I would like to see 300 bhp. My last vRS with similar spec and a maxed out turbo produced 245 bhp and 310 ft lb of torque which felt pretty quick.

I’m not interested in loads of brightly coloured turbo hoses and loud dump valves, I want to keep it looking as standard as possible.

If anyone has any kit lying around that they’re not going to use then please give me a shout and I will keep this thread updated once I collect together a kit of parts and get cracking.

Cheers.

You can get black silicon boost pipes.

I used black hoses on my black car to keep things looking nice and plain. That blue hose was changed to black since that photograph.

That is a good idea. I will do that when I make a start.

Car is under a cover at the moment as we are about to go on holiday but on my return, I will start a thread.

Already collected upgraded injectors, K04 turbo plus downpipe From an Audi S3. Also front subframe complete with Alloy suspension arms and a quick rack, some turbo silicon pipework and a few other bits and pieces.
