Sound from the ceiling. Please help

Featured Replies

Greetings to everyone. Friends, can you please help? There may be a clicking-creaking style surtunding from the sunsor, that is, the roof light and sunroof section of my 2019 model car. Now it's starting to get annoying. I decided to remove the ceiling lamp control compartment and the ceiling tile. Please help. My vehicle has a glass roof. Can I remove the ceiling flooring myself? Will it be difficult or damaged? Or what should I do. I marked the area with the sound. The sounds multiply from the hot air and the sounds decrease in the cool weather.

There are a few fixes about creaking noises coming from the sunroof. Sounds like it might be one of those!

Thank you. I tried to try these too, but it didn't work. It's about to hate my car. I will remove the last ceiling, which seems like a very difficult event. I will disassemble and complete insulation and arrange. If you have other ideas, please share

I had a similar issue. Same year of car and was told that there is an inherent fault with the design of the panoramic sunroof which causes this issue - Skoda have now changed this with the new FL Superb’s so they don’t suffer the same way.

If you google Audi forums, basically the same design pano sunroof, you’ll see lots of horror stories of the pano surround cracking.

My old Superb headlining creaked like an old wooden ship from the moment I got it and it went into the dealer several times under warranty. In between the various visits the pano surround cracked - initially there was push back from Skoda but when I presented them with the evidence they relented and replaced the surround under warranty. Other worker completed included new sunroof and sunblind but it never resolved the creaking to the point where I was happy. I got rid of the car when the mechatronic unit failed about 1,000 miles later - an awful car which I traded in and let the trade pick up the issue with the box.

Sorry to say this but you will be very lucky if you get rid of that sound.

I can't get rid of the sound. As you said, it's almost squeaking like an old ship, now it's annoying. I will remove the ceiling tile myself, but I need to find a service manual in it so that there is no problem. No matter what I do, it doesn't work, everyone applies silicone spray and sends it, unfortunately.

Hello friends. I found the sound coming from the roof of the vehicle, but unfortunately we can't intervene. One of the welding rivets on the ceiling bar on the windshield squeaks because it stretches. Polyurethane foam is applied to the bar part. I hope we succeed. We managed to reach the sound by completely dismantling the ceiling flooring.
