Bloke at work had a go in my vrs today

And was more impressed with it than he was with a focus ST2.

He just needs to talk his wife round the silly 'I don't want a Skoda' nonsense.

It has been done on here before :-)

AND

One of my work colleagues, who WAS an adamant VW Golf fan, and his SWMBO " would never have a Skoda" , is now the proud owner of a Furby vRS driven by SWMBO

When I had my car repaired the delivery person was miffed that he had to drive a Skoda back. However once he got here he was raving about it and couldn't belive how much power a little Fabia (non Vrs) had.

swimbo's work collegue saw me drop her off in the fabia, asked what it was had a look round ect, said his wife needed a smallish diesel car bout 10k ish, and liked the look of the vRS....

he went to buy one for her, after it was delivered, he drove it a few times, and now they've swapped!!! lol....

she now drives his vectra around and he now ALWAYS has the furby :)

I think they may become a two furby family! :)

was the same with me, I fancied it "on paper", but after the drive, I was sold! :)

sharky.

 Typical that - never been too hung up on brands myself, tried a few cars and the vRS ended up being the choice based on it's merits.

Octy was too big for me/us, would consider it once we have a family though for sure

That said there are some awesome cars out there (for a lot more money, true) which given circumstances I would definitely not hesitate in buying (like for most peeps it's not quite possible yet tho :o )

My manager was impressed with the performance of the car when it was still standard, especially after mentioning the price ;)

These days Skoda is certainly no longer the best value for money car manufacturer on the market, but they still ARE good value. As the stigma has gone a fair bit these days, prices have gone up a bit. Don't blame them I suppose :)
