Airbag Error

Featured Replies

I've just fitted FitCamx integrated dash cams to my Karoq and the wife's Kamiq. To fit the cam on the Kamiq required removal of the panel above the mirror housing the courtesy lights and passenger airbag lights. As soon as I disconnected the plug to the airbag lights I got an error message. It's all now back together, the lights work and switch over when the passenger airbag is turned on/off. However I still have the airbag error message every time I switch on the ignition and the yellow warning light on the dash.

Is this a simple task of resetting the error with an ODB reader?

I’ve got the same on my mk2 Octavia when I took the glove box out as passengers air bag deactivation switch is in there

I’ve got a Launch diagnostics tablet coming that does SAS etc and has very good write up

Yes, airbag DTC’s always require clearing with an OBD tool.

To prevent this, never disconnect an airbag plug without disconnecting the battery first.
