Context; car went in Tuesday had to get towed spanner came up on the gear selection on dash, and car wouldn’t move read a few things on here and online and realised it wasn’t good. This is the message I received please any advice would help.

The Mechtronic valve block has failed on your gearbox. It's a specialist repair which I can arrange with a company in Cannock. Price is £1700 + vat and then there will be a cost to deliver it over there. They have availability on Wednesday next week. Let me know what your thoughts are, cheers

Appreciate that mate just read over, sounds similar, mines 7 speed gearbox, just so stuck on what to do, don’t even know if it’s worth repairing
