First time in an Octavia, but have driven every other TDI going. This is an S (very low) spec and doesn't have many toys. My problem is USB connection. It works fine and music comes through no problem. However, the stick itself gets very hot even after only a few tracks. Can't be normal - or is it? Leaving it out for the mo, in case it spontaneously combusts.

It's likely because it's streaming the media directly from the USB stick rather than copying it into memory then playing it like your conventional Windows PC would do, nothing wrong with that specifically. It'll just be the USB stick itself being poorly designed. It'll likely get hot but not hot enough to cause any damage, it'll be fine.

Might try the sd card route. Certainly don't trust the usb. Thank you anyway.
