Need new door locks for 2008 Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi there guys I need a set of offside and near side door locks for a Skoda Octavia vin number TMBJS21Z98212017S does anyone happen to know the part numbers for these please I can not get into the car at all any help would be great full

If they wont turn have you tried spraying WD40 or similar into lock. They have a habit of seizing due to lack of use as most of the time they are fob operated. Spray and leave for a while and repeat. Another tip is to tap key carefully when in lock. Sometimes the key doesnt go all the way in and won't turn. If that doesnt work then you will probably have to go to a dealer as I assume they will be skoda only parts. They should be able to order them from VIN or perhaps reg.

Hi there chap thanks for the feedback yeah I tried that it just turns 360 it’s a mate of mines car

Is there a lock on the passenger side door as well?

I remember the lock spinning on a VW Polo I had many years ago. The barrel had snapped inside.

If you're able to unlock the car, you can get the lock barrel out, there are repair kits available so you don't have to replace the keys etc. Give the pins a good clean and lubrication at the same time.
