When importing music onto hard drive can they be put into folders/albums as at the moment they just create hundreds of songs but no playlist/album

Yep I’ve got folders named artist and then the albums in there. Comes up exactly that. That’s just organising using file names.

if you have all the meta data within the files with artist and album then I think you can pick it up with that but it depends what info is in the file

Two schools of though:

1) Each album can be in it's own folder

2) You can have a folder for each Artist and put all the appropriate Albums into that folder.

I think if you do (1) and you have all the metadata then the Infotainment system can sort everything by artist and by album.

I load my music by album (method1) and the infotainment gives me the choice to listen by album or by artist.
