Hi folks!

Does anyone here own a Superb, the saloon not the estate? I am thinking of getting one.
I am trying to find out what the distance is from the underneath of the parcel shelf to the boot floor.
I have to move bulky items for work and for insurance reasons nothing can be left on show when the car is parked.

I tried to find the information on the google but without success.
I measure the Octavia at 56cm from the boot floor to the parcel shelf, would anyone here know whether the Superb is more or less than that?

Superb should be more, but I wouldn't have thought by that much.

Any reason you want the hatch and not the estate? I have an Octavia hatch while it's nice and long for my bikes, it wouldn't be my choice for carrying stuff.

Perhaps @travs could have a measure if he gets a chance?

It's a personal thing, I prefer the saloon body shape and estates do tend to be that bit more expensive.
The products I'm expected to transport are bulky so in all three dimensions they're bigger than a big suitcase or holdall, hence the boot needs to be large.

I never have to transport many at once though, so I doubt I'd ever really need the extra bigness of an estate so I'd like to avoid paying for it when I'm unlikely to get full use of it.

Was it a recent Superb that you measured?

That was a 2021 Mk3.

Just dropped the tape measure from the fixed part of the parcel shelf and dropped it down to the boot floor.

The hatchback does have a large boot volume so should definitely suit bulky packages
