to replace the 6 stack standard changer with a phatbox, is it the VW (Rectangular connector) or the Audi (Round connector) Phatbox that I need.

I have got a good deal on one, but need to know which connector it is as I am up in leeds away from a toolkit and cant seem to get to the back of the 6 stack without torx screwdrivers and the like..........

I'm pretty sure you want the VW connector but as I'm not 100% I didn't post before. Hopefully someone who knows will see your post now it's been bumped.

do not forget to update your firmware in the Phatbox when you get it to the latest version as this fixes some of the faults you get with these boxes in the newer cars.

They are listed as $199 on the website but I doubt they'd ship it. If you look on the fitting instructions there is a VW part number - wonder what they charge.

I bought mine from a US VW dealer who sells through ebay, work out at around £100 IIRC.

1st vw parts sell them.

I don't know if they'll ship to UK though...
