Hi all, new vRS member

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have just bought a 2001 vRS, and its completely standard, as the day it left the factory, and its in immaculate condition. A few points that i would like answering if you dont mind:

1. Its done 51000miles, and has full skoda service history, should the cambelt have been done, and if not, when is it due to be done?

2. Under the boot where the spare wheel is, the foam carrier holds the wheel, jack, wheelbrace and warning triangle, yet there are a few empty spaces. What else should be stored here?

3. I would like a front strut brace fitted, can you recommend any dealers?

Speak to you all soon, i'm sure i'll have more questions!!

Welcome to Briskoda. :D The cam belt change is due at 120,000 miles or 4 years - whichever comes the sooner. The latter is a very recent change of policy on VAG's part. The tensioner should be changed at the same time, and you may wish to consider having the water pump changed too. Have a read of these 2 threads:
