Spaceback boot floor

Featured Replies

Hello, I have the standard spaceback boot floor ( carpet one side, thin mdf on the other side, foldable).

Does anyone have any idea how to remove this from the car? We've had a slight water spillage and I want it dried out!

Cheers guys

It just lifts out. It's not attached to anything, it just rests on top of the metalwork and covers the wheel well.

It seems to be fastened / clipped in at the back, mine definitely doesn't lift out. I've tried everything short of just ripping it out from what it's attached down with.

You may find that there are a couple of plastic fasteners attached to the carpet flaps at the back of the mat (where it meets the rear seats). These just pop out - it is unusual for these to even be fitted, more common on the Rapid (the saloon-shaped hatch) than the Spaceback.

Still couldn't sort it! I couldnt see any clips and it also seemed hard fastened in with the seat belt buckle. Access is very tight under there. It's almost dry now anyway, just opened the boot and propped it up for a few hours. Really frustrating though! Thanks for the speedy replies 👌
