Columbus Map Update - UK only?

Featured Replies

Hi

Downloaded EU_202522.zip file which appears to cover a vast array of countries.

Is there any way I can just update UK maps?

Thanks for looking

Hi There,

Download the Connect app, register for three months' free trial, login in the car's menus, and you should be able to download individual maps if you connect the car to wifi or or phone hotspot - I was able to do this with mine.

Be aware that the downloads take hours as the car uses 2.4g wifi, and sits there telling you it's downloading, even when it's finished and installing. I found that switching the ignition on and off completed the map downloads...I did it country by country (the UK is split into three regions from memory).

Either do all that, or just use Google maps!

Cheers,

Nick

tbh it’s less hassle to just download and install the full package. Once downloaded and on a usb stick, plug it in the car and drive around a few days and by that time it’s done its thing in the background and maps are updated.

not possible.

it is the same for others. i live in Australia, which means i need to get the Rest Of the World (RoW) map updates, all 22-24Gb of it, of every other country in world that isn't covered by the EU maps!!

Some smarties have tried deleting the countries that they dont need and found that it wont work. ITS ALL OR NOTHING. DO NOT ALTER ANYTHING or installation will fail

UPDATE - installed quickly, without any drama. Download file onto a Class 10 95mbs SD card. Selected update from SD/USB and drove for an hour. System re started and all maps installed OK.
