Lock Problems

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone, we had as a family a Fabia mk1 mpi

Now my father got a new car so I got the Fabia and I want to fix a big problem, 2 years ago the passenger side lock broke the car has central locking so we didn't care at all we just open from drivers side(the central locking on drivers side doesn't work for more than 10 years now) so I just get in and unlock the car with the button inside, 1 year ago the car started to lock unlock randomly or even moving the windows up and down, some times when you hit a bump the car locks unlocks violently the question I have is this from the broken lock on passenger side or something else I don't have much time to change the lock and I don't care about it at all I just want to know if you think its just this or something else so I will not spend my time and money for nothing

Might be as simple as a faulty switch or perhaps broken shorted wire. Check the cables where they come through from the door pillar to the doors. Both sides as the window motor on the drivers side also controls passenger window.
