Can't skip tracks via steering wheel

Featured Replies

Hi. I've got an issue where when using Android Auto I am often unable to skip tracks using the steering wheel controls. However, the steering controls work fine for normal radio stations.

Also the album covers don't always show on screen. It says 'press to open Spotify'. I take it this must be a software issue. Anyone got any ideas on how to sort it. Thanks.

What Software version is your Infotainment running?

1985

Try the next time when you leaving the car, Android Auto open on the Infotainment-Screen. So when you get back in the car the next time, it starts directly into Android Autoand not the Skoda UI.

Had the same problem with Cover and Calls no more shown in Dashboard after getting 1985 with Apple CarPlay, read this Trick somewhere and it's a workaround.

If you have an OBD Scanner, most likely you will find Code U105400 in the Dashboard.

Thanks for this. I do use Android Auto every time I drive, so it is on the screen when I get out of the car. Wondering if I uninstall it aand try it again may help. I'm not too fussed about the album cover not displaying, but the steering controls not working is a real first world problem 😆

I don't have an OBD scanner unfortunately.
