Octavia vRS MK4 Estate rear sway bar upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm upgrading the rear sway bar on my Skoda Octavia vRS MK4 2.0 TSI estate. I've purchased a 034 Motorsport rear sway bar, which is 25.4mm and offers two settings: Soft (153% rate increase) and Stiff (174% rate increase).

I haven't been able to find precise information on the stock sway bar's size, but I recall it being around 19-20mm.

Has anyone else here performed this upgrade on their MK4 vRS? I'd be very interested to hear about your experiences and how it impacted the car's driving dynamics. I understand the theoretical benefits, but real-world feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I put a Whiteline one on my wife's vRS a while ago, put it on the 'soft' setting, it still understeers when pushed hard-ish.

It does feel better driving at normal speeds, but I wouldn't say it was a night and day difference.

I'll change it to the 'hard' setting next time I climb under it.

Interesting. I find in ESC sport it’s pretty neutral and you definitely get some rotation in stock form
