Steering Wheel button Phone vs. View

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I light of my search for better Media navigation through the Steering Wheel controls, I found an interresting difference between 1st gen Kodiaqs.

Mine has the Phone button on the right-hand control panel, along with the Assistants and Back/Menu buttons.

I've found that some later models have the Phone button replaced with View.

Can anyone share what this button does on the MaxiDOT display and how it behaves? I am specifically interested if the button would display the folder view on the MaxiDOT when playing music via SD Card or USB.

And at last, would this be a simple replace, or adapters and/or coding is needed?

Cheers

The View button on "analog speedometer, Maxi dot" only switches between the last selected Maxi dot image and the current one

That's a bummer. I was hoping it adds additional functionality, especially in media commands.

Thanks @Cairus
