Increased vibration at idle & deeper engine noise after 8–10k km (Kodiaq 2.0 TDI 2025)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I drive a 2025 Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI (about 8,000 km) and I’ve recently noticed two changes compared to when the car was new:

1. Idle vibration:

At around 750 rpm, the car vibrates more noticeably inside the cabin than before.

2. Driving noise:

I notice a low rumbling/deeper engine sound that wasn’t present before.

This happens while driving, not at idle.

The dealership checked and only mentioned a “minor alternator belt tension issue, short-lived,” but they said there was no problem. Still, to me the vibration and noise feel new and more pronounced compared to when the car had fewer kilometers.

👉 Has anyone else experienced increased vibration at idle or a deeper/rumbling engine note after ~8–10k km on the 2.0 TDI? Is this just normal as the engine beds in, or is it jusm me being paranoid 🤣

I am attaching a video of the car's engine noise parked in the garage!

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
