parking sensors or reverse bleeper

Featured Replies

Hi all. just recently bought a skoda fabia estate 1.4 2008. everytime i start up and put it in reverse to back out of a space it bleeps once then a loud bleep for a few seconds. what is it is it parking sensors or a reverse gear beeper. if its parking sensors how can i turn them off. ? who needs them if you can.t park without sensors then people should not be driving in my view. it makes people lazy and its unnecessary.

It is a reverse gear beeper, you cannot turn it off ... wondering

There likely reversing sensors for parking etc-had em on my mk1 but they stopped working for some reason-not sure if plug/connection at gearbox or not🤷🏻‍♂️ Never bothered looking as got used to not using, they can b handy when getting in tight spots/avoiding nudging motor behind ya🫣

I do rem it beeping as you put it in gear but wouldn’t do anything unless anything close to sensors..
