Charging the Kodiaq PHEV more than once

Featured Replies

Hi all,

If I charge the car (Kodiaq Mk2 PHEV with a ‘granny charger’) for any length of time e.g. one hour, then some time later (without disconnecting the cable) try to charge it again, it fails to charge. The charger cable shows a fault condition and the car does not charge.

Is this expected behaviour, or is this weird?

If this is not expected, is it likely to be the cable or the car that’s causing the issue?

Thanks

I would guess the issue is being caused by the cable not being disconnected and the software/car does not like it.

It probably needs the cable removed and reconnected to start a new charging session.
