I'm looking into getting the chrome grille surround replaced with one painted black pearl and reckon the light brows might just finish it off.

That does look very nice mate..... Just what i'm wanting myself........ But in black magic of course.

I'm gonna wait till i get payed in a couple of weeks then get the grille surround (which the dealer parts chap said he will try and get me a discount on), and get it painted..... I've had a quote of about £40 by a bodyshop to get it painted, inc. paint. I'm on nights tonight so have also got to have a word with a lad at work when i go in cos he has done a few spoilers etc.... with very good results to see how much he'd want if he did it.

Once i've got the surround done if there's any funds left it'll be the eyebrows too.......... Bearing in mind the missus bought me an xbox 360 for xmas and i've already spent over a tonne on games for it. :eek:

I might sand down the surround and prime it ready for final painting then let the bodyshop do the final paint / lacquer finish......... What primer did you use and did you have to sand off all the chrome or just sand it down a little??? 1200 grade sand paper???

Just keyyed the chrome, didnt remove it as it is as good a surface as any. I took the grille to my local paint suppliers and asked them which paints & primers I would need so I would suggest you do the same so that you get the right one.
