Front passenger door lock/window issue

Featured Replies

Hi experts,

I've got an issue with my front passenger door. When I lock/unlock the car with remote - no issues, works as expected. When i start the car and drive, when the auto lock engaged, i can hear lock firing 4 times, and same happens if i press lock button on the console, and once doors are locked front passenger window won't go down. If it is already open, I can still close it, but it won't open unless the lock is unlocked. If i physically disconnect DCM, then central locking works as expected. Where do i start?

Try lubrication with some silicon spray on the lock mechanism first before you delve into replacement. Try and work the lock several times, see if that works. If no joy, then its a new door lock motor that will be needed.

A new lock motor is inexpensive if you go for a pattern part. My local trusted garage sorted mine out cheaply a couple of years ago.
