Annoying beep

Featured Replies

My wife's Kamiq 1.5 se 2020 plate with the Amundsen system is sounding an occasional annoying beep something like the Windows Xp default beep. It's a single sort of electric piano note but I am not able to predict when it happens! No chance of getting a recording of it since it may only happen every half hour or so.

Any ideas of what to switch off that might cause this? I've already switched off "Speed Warning" but it wasn't that...

Road sign detection maybe ?

There are two beeps associated with speed.

The first is a persistent little ping if you are over the posted speed limit. (speed warning)

The second is a little ping (different tone) each time the car detects a change in speed limit. The spot on the speedo moves as well.

My 2020 Kamiq only gives a ping when it first detects I've gone over the limit and after that if I don't slow down it doesn't sound further.

As regards a change in speed limit, I have noticed it occasionally give a ping when leaving a limited zone but never known why.

Maybe the age of my car is the answer.

Thanks for replies, I'll try & get the car without herself, so I can see what circumstances trigger it - but it seems to be speed limits related, going by the responses..

Pretty sure you can turn the ping volume down.

Yes, you can using the "equipment" volume control, i.e not the media one.
