Hi, just joined the forum, purchased my first Skoda just over 6 weeks ago.

In the past ive owned VW, my first skoda and has been purchase recently from a guy in Scotland Ardrossan.

Autotrader ad, "Well maintained and reliable". But totally opposite

Regens every 30 miles

Noisey flywheel when cold, vibrates high speed

Inner tyre bald both front

Rear windscreen motor dont work

Rear caliler seized

Front disc worn

Got an invoice sold as seen, private seller, how can one knowingly con someone, it did a regen at the short test drive. Wasnt told it does it every 30 miles. I could never sell on a car like this knowingly.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of people out there who will - and not just 'private' sellers!

With dealers at least you have protection, on a normal test drive these major issues cannot be detected and private sellers get away with it..

I partially agree, but this forum has many examples where even Brand Main Dealers strongly resist or even refuse what appear to be valid warranty claims.
