1.5TSi remap?

Featured Replies

Anyone had theirs remapped and was it worth it?

Is there any added strain to the clutch/turbo or fuel pump/injectors?

Hey did you get any info in the end? I'm looking at a Superb with the same engine and 6 speed manual. An extra 30bhp would be nice! Just don't want to destroy the turbo or clutch 🤣

Hello, sadly I didn't get the information I was looking for. Although I did watch a video on YouTube about a guy with an Audi 2.0l that replaced his failing Dual Mass Flywheel, got his car remapped then within a year his DMF failed again. He blamed the remap but I'm not convinced it would cause a DMF to fail that quickly.

I am not a mechanic though so maybe it could.

Yeah, I think some of these modern engines are so complex now with various efficiency requirements and everything else. I can't handle the paranoia of waiting for something to go boom! Maybe I'll just stick to super unleaded and pretend I'm faster 🤣

Coincidentally I do find this engine runs better on super, no noticeable power difference just smoother power delivery.

Yeah I will definitely try super unleaded. I was running that in my BMW 4 series. Tempted to check out the Revo remap. Not straight away though as want to get to know how the car feels first and make sure it's all good.
