Motec wheels

Featured Replies

The Superb VRS3 with the Audi RS3 engine swap (not the Skoda Sleeper btw) has Motec MCR2 Ultralight, which are now sitting on the periphery of my radar.

They’re 8.9kg a wheel, compared to 14.9kg for Vega or 15.1kg for Trinity wheels. They’re flow-formed and seem to have a decent reputation. But a set of 4 19” 5x112 ET43 are about £1,000-£1,100 depending on exchange rate. Is it me or is that cheap for items with a pretty strong reputation?

They were £1200 when I bought them in 2021 back when LK Performance supplied these

Thanks for that - think I’d just spotted a post with you mentioning them and was going to ask what you thought of them.

That sort of price for sub-9kg flow-formed seems better than my expectation at least.

They’re a great wheel, the weight reduction compared to an OEM alloy is mad.

I don’t have any negatives to say on them, sold them in the summer after having them for 4 years without any issue, the paint quality was very good on them as well.
