Map update help

Featured Replies

Hi,

i am after some help, i am trying to update the maps on my car, the map version is 21.7, i when to the update portal, entered my VIn,

i downloaded OI_P154_EU_202534_Offline_Update and extracted the zip file as per instructions

formatted the USB C drive to Exfat , copied the folders across,.

put the USB c Drive in to the front port where the lighter socket is and nothing.

what am i doing wrong/ missing.

thanks

Not doing anything wrong per se. Updating maps just involves leaving the stick in the car and periodically check for map version and see what version is for the update. Some can take hours some days. The file is broken up into lots of bits so the system has lots of checkpoints to restart from as you switch the car on and off.

ah ok, thanks

I use the SD card slot as have found the USB port to be problematic. Music files red through the USB port okay but map files and speed camera files not so. I get the speed camera files from www.gpspower.net. Just navigate to the Skoda section and you will find them there. Very handy.

On the basis of USB-C being mentioned in the front, then this sounds like a facelift and the SD slots aren't there. I could be wrong and there could be a changeover/crossover period but otherwise see if OP confirms trim and year

yeah i only have USB Ports

For what it's worth I have the older 1.4 SE L 1.4. from 2018. Had it 5yrs, still a great car.

I've historically used Google maps via my phone and a wire.

Last month I moved to Quadlock and Car Wireless / Android Auto.

Game changer via the USB in the front. Highly recommend.

Good luck.
