Is anyone else experiencing very sluggish ICE start up during this cold weather, of have I got other problems?

I haven't got Columbus but with my Amundsen on the rare occasions it's slow to start up it's because it's doing an OTA update in the background that I wasn't aware of until it says an update has taken place, just one aspect to look at (if you have OTA available). Once the update has been installed it's back to normal operation.

Have you rebooted it by pressing the power button for 5 seconds?

Mine originally had a Columbus MIB2 unit from factory - took approx. 30 secs to b ready, i.e. NAV is ready.

I've since converted it to a MIB2.5 (screen + firmware conversion) and now its ready within 5 secs!! Quick.

Cold .... Hot .....same response.

Yes. Now I'm turning the ICE unit off before I switch off the car to see if that helps. Turn it on after the car warms up a bit. Except, I only drive the thing once every two weeks, so it will be a while yet.
