VRS issues after service

Featured Replies

Just had the car serviced and got all coilpacks replaced as well. Now getting the intake air system leak error and also a strange one where if I'm full lock and let go of the steering wheel, all the dash lights and dials switch off and instantly come back on again. I've attached a video of the dash issue.

anyone got any ideas what could be causing the second one? I'm pretty sure they just missed a hose or something for the air intake error, as it took almost 3 days of driving for it to appear.

Been back out at the car, dash issue only appears when it's above 2,000rpm

Over the past 15 years there are plenty instances in threads / posts where the Turbo pipe and O rings have not been correctly reinstalled by a hashy tech / mechanic. or a pipe burst at the top of the engine. Was it the Coils replaced and the Spark Plugs also? Correct gap, not just put in as Pre- set gap. They can get knocked while fitting.

Maybe a failing clock spring as it happens at full lock. It could also be loose alternator belt as power steering will be at max current at full lock. If it was working before service I would take it back and get them to check they have replaced everything properly

yeah coils and plugs were changed. last time they done the spark plugs I didn't have any issues at all. car feels significantly more responsive and no misfires at all anymore.

Bosch Iridium Spark Plug 0242240665 [FR6HI332]

was those ones that were fitted.

I've had a look myself and can't hear any hissing or anything from the engine, so maybe it's just a tiny slit in one of the pipes or something.

honestly not too sure if it was before the service or not, I barely drive the car anymore. my misses drives it alot more than I do and she still never noticed it after the service.

will ask them to have a look at the those other suggestions though, thanks )
