I have a Yeti 2.0 diesel. The enginge symbol warning light has come on showing yellow. Can anyone suggest what this might indicate before I head to the garage? The car seems fine, no overheating or shortage of oil for example.

you have to put some OBD2 scanner in port and scan for errors. if you dont have any, go to garage. it can be anything.

You have a TDI so not as likely to go into LIMP MODE but it still can. Do not keep running too long or go far with the Engine / Exhaust Emissions light showing. Get any fault codes read if there are. ?? Has the car been sitting any length of time with engine running / idling? Anything different recently, different filling station / diesel used?
