Lane Assist Retrofit

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 2014 Skoda Octavia 3 that came from the factory with rain, light, humidity sensors and no heated windshield.

I decided to replace my windshield with a heated one and get the "ready" version for the lane assist camera and rain sensor.

My question is, will any lane assist camera work or do I have to buy one that came from an Octavia 3?

That's for lane change assistant. It's not the same thing. I ment the camera in the back of the rear view mirror.

Please No Kufatec

The quality is Horror

Absolutely non true in my experience, I’ve done a tons of retrofit and never had any issues with them, they use only original parts

My experience is that their parts are good, but where they supply a dongle to make coding changes that's when the problems start as VAG make regular software changes that the dongle doesn't keep pace with.

Ah ok got it, I use the software that I have, so i've never experienced that part

I ordered 3 wiring harnesses, all 3 were incorrectly pinned and oxidized through after 1 year.

Wiring harnesses most likely made by/for Kufatec - it seems that OEM parts they supply are OK but any hardware or software that is Kufatec exclusive can be questionnable.

In my case I've retrofittet to a 2016 octavia scout the front pdc system without any issue and also on a fabia mk2 heated seats, complete front+rear pdc (from an mk2 octavia) and headlight washer, and I've purchased all the wiring from kufatec, total of 7 wiring looms (the pdc bumper from te mk2 octavia are original skoda). I was thinking maybe in non UE countrys they have someone else to do their wiring but is not you're case because you're in Austria.
