Water ingress

Featured Replies

Hi, has anybody had issues with water leaking in? Especially interested in 2023 cars.

The S4 only entered the market in late 2024, so you won't find any problems with 2023 models...

I'm not sure what you mean about S4? Well your statement is completely false. My superb is 73 plate, 1 owner, no accidents or damage and it's been in the garage for 7 weeks with substantial water ingress in more than one seam and they cannot find where is coming from.

24 models started being built in about July 2023, so it's entirely possible that a 73 plate is actually a 24 model year.

You need to check the build date and/or the model year digit in the VIN to be sure.

@AliG81 and @PetrolDave

This is the Superb 4 topic. And the Superb 4 (S4) only entered the market in the autumn of 2024.

So you won't find any water ingress issues with 2023 models due to the very simple reason that no 2023 models of the Superb 4 exist...

The Superb is an MQB car. Does the MQB Evo still have the boot vents that leak?

Are you saying I shouldn't post this in the section for skoda superb S4?

What he’s saying is that while some 73 plate Superb models may actually be a 2024 model year, there is no 2023 Superb Mk4. In other words, you’re posting about the Mk4 Superb, seeking information specifically on 2023 models, which don’t exist.

It’s kind of the same as my Octavia. The Mk3.5 ended in 2019 and the Mk4 started in 2020, but my Mk3.5 was built in Jan 2020.

Simple test - Is your gear selector a stalk to the left of the steering wheel? If so then this is the right forum. If the gear selector is in the centre console you have a Mk 3 Superb and you need to ask in the associated forum.

Yes. If your car is from 2023, it's an S3, and you're in the wrong section.
