Skoda connect app

Featured Replies

I am totally confused and just cannot understand how to set up the Skoda connect app. I’m getting e mails saying things have been deactivated but by who. It’s also impossible to sign out of the app.

I have spent hours today trying to get it working but every instruction I look at says different things.

The dealer should have helped you with this.

Is the car new or new to you?

If the car is new to you then the dealer really needs to "disconnect" the previous owner.

Have you created the required credentials in the app including and S-PIN?

The car needs to be paired with your app. During pairing the car will ask you for the S-PIN.

If the car is more than 3 years old or you are the second owner then a lot of stuff will be unavailable until you pay for it. Map updates and real time traffic are the two most obvious.

If a previous owner used thins like traffication and pay to park then these will be disconnected and you'll get information to tell you they have. Hence all the warnings.

Drop into your nearest Skoda dealer, they should be able to sort it.

After driving today the system has disconnected my phone and apple car play and settings I just cannot work out what’s going on and it’s taken the shine of my new car as it’s just all so frustrating. It’s asking about WI FI but from where. It’s asking about cubic telecom and I don’t have a clue what that is.

What age is the car and which app did you download?

OK, if it's new go back to the dealer, they should have made sure it was all set-up right.

I agree the dealer should have showed them how to set up their phone on collection but 2nd hand dealers may have no clue, that's why I asked for age of car.

Did you download Skoda connect app or MySkoda app

My Skoda app

So have you created an account in the My Skoda app? does this include setting up an S-Pin.

Once you have done these things you should be able to enter the vehicle VIN into the app and then pair the app to the car.

If the app is paired to the car the opening page of the app will tell you vehicle status. Both car and phone must be in mobile range for all the above to work.

Again, something the dealer should have done for you at handover.
