265 TSI 4x4 economy

Featured Replies

What sort of economy are people getting?

I spend a lot of time doing long motorway journeys (200+ miles) - is early 40’s MPG achievable?

My longtime average is 11 l/100KM which translates to 25 MPG. But i have a very heavy foot and always put the car in sports mode since then the 4x4 is pro-active while in standard it is reactive. The pro active is alot more fun esspecially in the snow.

40MPG should be easily doable with normal high way cruising

The mobile app shows my average fuel consumption over a 24000km in a year to be 7.3 l/100km which translates to 38.7 MPG(UK).

I drive mostly motorway with cruise control, maybe 80%, and the rest city driving with relatively light right foot.

I believe if one would count only highway portion of my driving it would be over 40 MPG(UK).

On a long run I get ~35 - 40 mpg and around town 30 mpg

It does depend on how you drive. On the daily commute - 15 miles on B roads and through villages I get 33-36 on average. Never had less than 40 on a motorway trip, generally around 43-44, and had as much as 48 on a long steady drive, but if you boot it these figures can drop quickly.
