Hello,

Short answer, Yes.

For more details please read related thread: https://www.drive2.ru/l/692089794200617469/

Keep in mind, do it at your own risk!

Cheers

hey man, i just did all the steps, but the usb still appearing empty on the infotainment.
i formatted it to fat32 to start fresh, i copied the two files (data and meta) to the usb. i tried without engine running and with engine running... what am i doing wrong? i also tried to use exfat format for the usb....

i am noticing that some file updates for other infotainment systems are 9/10 gb in size, but this is hardly 400 mb.

Looks like you have the Bolero infotainment system whereas most of the downloadable updates are for the larger Columbus system - which probably explains why your system doesn't recognise the update files.

Having said that, be aware that I have NOT attempted manual updates to my Columbus system so am commenting from a position of relative ignorance. Hopefully others will comment further.

I tried to suggest earlier, either here or on another thread, that the software posted in this forum is not for @shadyk2 system

Guys,

The above unit (if the picture provided by @shadyk2 is indeed from his car) is the SWING MEN3 "low infotainment" system.

Bolero + Built-in Navigation = Columbus = MIB3 Hight infotainment system.

The file that I shared above is for MEN3 unit.

As far as I know the upgrade procedure is the same for both system types.

If the unit doesn't recognise the USB stick please follow the steps to debug:

  1. Recommendation is to use high quality brands(e.g Sandisk, Kignston ...)

  2. Type-C is better to eliminate bad adapters

  3. extFAT format

  4. Large capacity because the files for MIB3 are ~10G

  5. If the unit fail to load the files, try with another USB stick.

Hopefully this quick guide will help you.

Good luck

Can you let me know if you managed to udate it? Right now I'm facing same issue, with same SW train, same version.

Are you both sure you're using the correct SW update for your infotainment version? Most of the SW updates posted here are for Columbus, it appears you have Bolero....

That was the whole point of asking. Everyone had onfo only about Columbus infotainment but we got Swing. Today I went to official dealership for the update and the version they installed is 1805. Idk if its the newest one for that system or not but it's still an upgrade.
