Has anyone been contacted by Skoda Customer Services tonight re the stuttering and that a modified part is now available to cure the problem?

Raj from Sk.Cust Services left a voicemail asking me to contact him to let him know if my dealer has rung me to let me know of the fix, to presumably arrange to book the car in.

I could hear a member of staff in the background telling someone on the phone that the modified parts will be at the dealers on Thursday.

I'm not dreaming am I?

Be good if its true! we will just have to hope they have pulled there finger out there **** and actually come up with a fix.

I have been running a modified gasket on my EGR which has totally got rid of the dreaded stutter, but if skoda have come up with a genuine fix i will be very happy!!!

The b*****ds haven't phoned me!!!!!

One of my mates got an Ibiza FR tdi and his is stuttering so he took it back and they booked the car straight in to take apart the gearbox as apparently there's a known problem with them. After watching how long Skoda have taken with this I was suprised how quick they responded to him. Hope they fix it soon for all you people.

Just spoken to Roger at Skoda Cust. Service not Raj like previously mentioned.

The part is an interim fix and is a modified gasket for between the EGR valve and the exhaust.

Car booked in with Lightcliffe in Huddersfield for 2/8/2006. Spoke to Ben a techy there - top bloke - very knowledgable, who expects this part to be the official fix. A bulletin from Skoda is coming out to all dealers this week.

I spoke with Skoda UK this morning before reading this thread and they didnt mention a fix at all - it was just business as usual and they are "working on it" !

Same here, I called skoda just before 9am and they didn't say anything.

Any of you that are notified by Skoda please ask if they're going to do a recall on all BLT 06's or whether we'll have to moan to get it. It seems they're only telling folks what's going on when they ring us not when we ring them...

False alarm from me and a mix up from Skoda.

Car originally booked in for new EGR gasket for 2/8/2006. Appointment cancelled by dealer - reason: no new gaskets available in the UK!! Dealer to ring when they get one in.

So, Skoda Cust Services rung me for nothing - see previous posts.
