rattling noise

Featured Replies

Hello,
I'm getting some sort of "metallic" rattling noise coming from the front of the car when I drive over bumps or alike. Has anyone got similar experience? thanks

Has your vehicle recently been serviced?

It wasn't a Skoda, but I once had a car beck in to the dealer for an issue which was present when I'd bought it. When I collected it, apparently fixed, I noticed a metallic rattling coming from under the bonnet.

I pulled over and checked, to find they'd left a spanner under my hood! It was Snap-On branded though so I didn't make too much of a fuss, just kept it 😂

well, bought it 2 months ago. no recent service

Good to say it is a 2022 RS. So TSI or TDI, manual or automatic? Getting it on a ramp and inspected would be a good idea.

I'm no mechanic but if possible try to get a recording of it and share that. May help diagnose it.

Try hitting the exaust(when its cold) if it rattles it eather a disintegrated cat of exaust flex pipe thats fallen apart. It shuld also rattle i u go up a steep hill.

Thanks everyone for your help so far.

When driving with both front windows opened, it seems the noise is coming from the front right or side right.
