Connect App - failing signup with new Kodiaq PHEV - unable to charge at home.

Featured Replies

Good evening, I'm new around here. I come in peace.

Actually, I come in irritation. I've just taken delivery of a leased Kodiaq SE L iV in Graphite Grey (nice, stately). Very pleased with it, except it came with no battery charge.

Plugged it in at home, nothing. Apparently Ohme box has to take the API of the car before it'll do anything.

To give the API to the Ohme box, I had to log into the Connect App. Which required scanning the QR code on the VIN plate and hitting "Activate."

At which point, I got an "Apologies... Unfortunately, we cannot complete your request right now. This situation is likely to be a temporary connection issue - please try again later."

In the experience of you good people, do these kind of issues last long or not? I remember trying to set a "local dealer" in the app for our outgoing leased Mk1 Sportline (all black - niiiice, not stately) and failing at every turn (and just giving up with Customer Support who were worse than hopeless). So I'm assuming the IT infrastructure is still the garbage it always was, but now it's a bit more important as I would like to do short journeys on electric charge alone, which means charging at home. Which, currently, I cannot do.

Any thoughts, advice, words of wisdom or harbingers of doom?

Thank you all - nice to be here.

Don't connect the Ohme to the API of the car - it's notoriously unreliable even when you do manage to get it connected. Ohme themselves do not recommend it either. Connect the Ohme to your energy provider account and then control the charging from there or the Ohme.
