Aftermarket rims fitment

Featured Replies

Hi,

Maybe someone knows from practice. Would aftermarket rims with this spec R19 8J 5x112 ET45 fit or it would touch wheel arch or internal parts while driving? I also want to avoid adding spacers.

The car is Kodiaq mk2 TSI 2.0 Sportline 4x4.

If I calculate correctly, compared to stock 19inch wheels which are 7.5J ET40, it would move to inner side 0.5+0.635=1.135cm, and outer by 0.635-0.5 = 0.135cm.

Not sure re wheel arches but check measurment to suspension strut. Had a people carrier with 18" aftermarket wheels which didn't hit arches but had to drop tyre profile to just miss bottom of strut/spring. Wasnt much but went from 225/50/18 to 225/45/18 extra load. Have a look at https://www.wheelfitment.eu/ it lists the kodiak as having 19" wheels as an option and tyre sizes

I take it your car is pre 2024. From that date onwards the Sportline model had 20" wheels as standard.
