Ride height on Skoda 1.6Tdi (1Z8) higher han usual. what are the specs ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Skoda Combi II, 1.6 TDI with 360.000Km now and I would like to know if someone knows what are the original specs for higher ride height ?

When I ordered my car i requested underbody motor protection, and I didnt know it at that time, but my car came with higher that usual suspension height.

My Father has an identical car but his height in front suspension is lower than mine , his has 6 cm height on Front (top of tyre to chassis wheel hole) and 6cm height at the rear.

Mine on the other hand has 10cm height on the front and 8 cm height on the back (I have one of the back shock absorbers leaking and would like to find identical match).

I would like to change back suspension for the same original height that I have on mine, because my fathers rear suspension gives some kick with new shock absorbers, and mine never did, its very smooth.

Also I now have 360.00km and its my first time to change any shock absorber, so i Love mine. vehicle tested anually at inspection center and never had a fault on suspension.

If anyone has some info that might help me, I would appreciate it, thanks in advance.

PS: I had a long life with this vehicle (and some stories... changed Dual mass clutch for single mass and never looked back, perfect and much cheaper), and I quite like it, for me it fills all the boxes.
