Has anyone else had issues with Skoda Connect/My Skoda app since Wednesday this week? My 75 plate Monte Carlo came with 3 years worth of Skoda Connect included (My Skoda app, vehicle status, live maps, traffic alerts, online anti theft alarm etc), and since Wednesday it's completely stopped syncing despite it still being logged in. Looked online and can't see any issues? Although the Skoda Connect website says it can't find any available products/services for my car.

I've always found the MySkoda app (running on an iPad in my case) unpredictable and generally slow when it came to syncing to my 2024 Fabia and, during the last few days, the app had resolutely refused to sync.

However, last night, when I tried using the MySkoda app (more in hope than expectation!!) a "We are constantly improving this app..." message appeared and, lo and behold, the app went 'Online' and synced to my Fabia in the next few seconds.

I've just tried the app again (08:30 16 May 2026) and it is still working fine, with syncing taking place very rapidly.

Just received a reply from Skoda technical support..

This issue will be solved by automatic reset of communication unit, which is done every few days. Regarding your vehicle, the reset will be done on 25.05. Unfortunately, we are aware, that this situation may occasionally occur again in the future, and hence we are working on a Software update, which will permanently solve such behavior. In case the issue persists, please contact us back.

I don't mind waiting another 6 days for the unit to automatically reset. But does anyone know if I can do this manually?

As far I know you cannot do anything yourself and I strongly suggest that you wait until 26 May and check then whether or not your car's system is working correctly. It's not like the MySkoda app failing to sync impacts on your car's operation - it's just irritating that you have a 'free' capability (of generally limited value for a Fabia) that doesn't currently work properly.

Shortly after purchasing my Fabia I accidentally reset its system when messing about in the depths of its infotainment-unit's menus. I eventually managed to recover the system, but it was a salutary lesson that I do NOT want to repeat.

(Incidentally, MySkoda is still working OK on my Fabia...)

So the communication unit has reset itself and I'm now back online. However, now my Keyless entry doesn't work! It'll let me lock the doors by touching the handle, but won't let me unlock unless I use the physical button on the fob.

Does anyone know how to reset the KESSY system if at all possible? The car is definitely picking up the key fob, as it won't lock when the keys are still inside the vehicle. Skoda said this can be a side effect of the communication unit going offline, and should eventually "fix itself" but if it doesn't, I'll have to book an appointment with my local dealer.

My 2024 Fabia SE L does not have 'full' KESSY, but (if you haven't already done so) you could try using the keyless locking deactivation procedure described in the Owner's Manual and see if that does any good.

All sorted now. I had to re-pair the keys to the vehicle again (delete primary user, then "become primary user"). Hopefully the fault with the communication unit doesn't happen again because it's been a real faff to sort out - didn't realise so many things were linked to it either.

Had exactly the same problem with my 2026 Fabia SE L. Stopped synching last Thursday and no matter what I did I couldn't sort it out. Booked into the dealer for diagnosing next week, but today, suddenly started working again!

Is this going to be a regular occurrence I wonder...

Yeah it seems like it's an issue that they're aware of, especially as they've said an update will be pushed out soon. So hopefully once that update lands, it won't happen again 🤞🏼
