Dashcam / rear wiper fuse keeps blowing

Featured Replies

Hi, i am needing some help, I hard wired my dashcam in to fuse 47, in my 23plate superb.

But what i am finding it that when the rear wiper is on about 5 mins later it is blowing the 2amp fuse..

I read that on the piggyback that the original fuse goes at the bottom and the 2 amp one on the top.

And there is a correct way to have the piggyback as and to make sure the the piggyback is the right way up. Positive and negative.

Just wondering if anyone has had the issue of a fuse keep going, as it did not do this in my last superb. .

Would be great if someone could post a photo of the orientation of how you have it.

Thanks.

This is how mine is fitted to 48. They aren’t positive negative. Both sides of the tap are positive. I suspect you have the dashcam and piggyback fuses in the wrong slots

No reason. Just were it would fit. The whole of that row of large fuses is switched so any can be used.

so i could just put the piggyback in to 48 with just the 2 Amp?

Yup And put normal fuse back where it belongs.

You need a fuse tap. Most dashcams come with them. They piggyback existing fuse positions
