Hi guys/girls.

Doing this for the first time today. Seems to be painfully slow compared to previous cars where I’ve dropped the oil out the bottom.

Anyone got any tips?

I’m using a Chinese Amazon suction pump, which appears to prefer to buckle rather than suck, although it is slowly getting oil out.

I’ve got the oil filter and filler caps off too.

Can you put one of the wider hoses or it doesn’t fit in the whole of the dipstick?

I have similar if not the same pump and I usually try to put the widest possible hose.

Also try to lift the hose slightly once the bottom is hit, and move the hose up and down a little while the pump sucks the oil.

PS: I don’t have the same engine. So I hope that my suggestions aren’t completely useless 😀
