Replacing daytime running lights

Featured Replies

Can anyone please point me in the right place to find out how to change the daytime running lights situated in the headlight housing on my 2016 Fabia estate? I rarely use Briskoda because the search facility for information never returns and content for what I am looking for. So I am asking if anyone can help me. I've searched video hosting sites, and I have found little information pertaining to the 501 Bulbs W5W type. Pleas help. Thanks.

Which headlight unit have you got? I presume the 1 x H4 unit.

Are you sure it is a W5W bulb as I thought that was for the parking/side light bulb?

Thank you. I will have a look as I was under the impression they were W5W type.

You are right, the W5W is the parking/side light. I've found the DRL, it was blown, but a new bulb still hasn't solved the problem. Is there a fuse I should be looking at?

Not for one bulb, I would think.

Does the other side DRL bulb work?

If so, swap them from side to side.

Does the opposite side REAR bulb work?

Thanks. AG Falco.

The right side DRL is the problem, the left side does work okay. Don't think it has rear DRL's, I've never seen them illuminated.

Can you post a photo of the headlight unit showing the DRL location so that I can compare it with the unit fitted to my 2016 Fabia SE L?

I ment opposite rear side light bulb.

Some times they are on the same fuse.
