I've bought an aftermarket tablet for dash mounting and don't want to create future problems with removal and potential damage. I've used typical mounting tape but when subjected to cabin heat it 'un sticks' and flops forward. I'd appreciate advice on a recommended product.

Try self adhesive velcro tape. Think screwfix or toolstation. Problem is that anything that sticks well may cause problems removing at a later date. Have heard of people using command self adhesive removable strips.

Thanks for the pointers. I've tried velcro but will give it another try. Anything that's likely not to cause damage at removal is heat sensitive. It doesn't help when the table mounting base is flat and the dash is curved and textured! I guess it's trial and error...Zep sticky stuff remover always at hand 😁

I've ordered some 'Nano tape'. It's worth a try!

i had a simular problem when fitting a carplay unit to my mums DS3 the base was flat and the dash was curved, i used a dremal and stanley knife to cut a couple of lines parlualy through the baseand then used a cigar lighter ( looks like a mini blow torch) to heat the plastic and bend it to the angle of the dash, the supplied tape stuck down much better

Thanks for the dremel idea. I have tool and discs ....a steady hand required!
