Skoda Fabia vRS with Skoda Sat Nav Fault

Featured Replies

 I bought my Fabia vRS last September and had the sat nav fitted as a factory extra. However from the very start I've had a problem whereby the top third of the dash panel display keeps blanking out for no reason. This has gone on for 10 months now and my local dealers have failed to fix it despite changing the entire system. It's had 3 new Dash Panels, 2 New Sat Nav Head Units, 2 lots of wiring and one new master computer. They now say they can't mend it and I'll have to wait for Skoda to come up with a fix which may take months.

I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced similar problems and if so can you suggest any fixes?

Refund time by the sound of it. Sale of Goods Act. Goods not up to description. Get them to fit the standard Symphony unit and buy a Tom Tom

Get them to pay for all of the above too.

Seem to remember the superb having a simialr problem at one time, recode of the dahs insert sorted that out.

The unit has been recoded but all this seemed to do was lose all sound to the speakers although the system said that it was at half volume!
