Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car 😕

Featured Replies

Hi All!

Recently after some of coding sessions with Car Scanner on my Superb mk3 2020 2.0 TSI SEL I lost animation / swipe away on my tailgate lights when car is unlocked. When I lock it, it swipes away correctly, indicators are dynamic when used (hazard on, locking/unlocking or indicating)...

First things first - I reverted changes in coding history but it changed nothing. I then started to adjust settings in Lightning adaptations. Sometimes it was causing animation to disappear completely, lights were constantly on or it would cause flickeringScreenshot_20260909_180340_com_ovz_carscanner_MainActivity.jpg so I gave up. My last set is in the screenshot. I also changed dimming value to 100 in case car will not accept 127. It did not work.

Anyone had similar issue and got it sorted using Car Scanner?

I am trying to get someone with obd11 or vscd to help me as I know its so much easier to get it right with text adaptations.

Many thanks!

I can’t help with this issue directly I’m afraid. But I use carscanner too and have found the coding history to be a bit hit and miss. A good tip is to take screen shots of the standard code before changing anything then you have a record of what it was when you started.

What were you trying to code originally that lost the animation?

I tried Audi style dimming tailgate lights when indicators are on. I reverted changes but animation was lost and I can't get it back. At the moment I turned it completely off so it doesn't annoy me 😂. Odb 11 will be a fix once I get it. Apart from that Car Scanner is quite good tool for some adaptations but deeper coding like lane assist or matrix headlights its a no-no for it.
