Meguirs Water Magnet

Featured Replies

Washed the car tonight, first time using 2 bucket method:thumbup: rinse water:eek:

Question; Do you start with your water magnet dry or wet

I start with mine dry and don't usually have to wring it out till the car is dry. They are a great piece of kit.

Guys, a lot of discussion on detailing world re water magnets, have been causing a lot of scratching of paintwork.

Do the CD test before using it. Get an blank CD and wipe the water magnet over the blank side, if it scratches the CD IT WILL scratch your car.

Yes i have to admit the magnet hasnt had many good reviews compaired to the fabulous polish/cleaning range.

Anyway always rinse it out before useing as you dont know what dust particles that have clung on over a couple of weeks stuck in a cupboard ect, its safer for the paint work if you rinse first.

I use the poor boy, waffle weave towel

Tried the cd test and had positive results

Ill never use a chamois again

If thats how you spell it:D

Use a Poorboys waffle myself (dry), wash & dry it after use then keep it in a plastic bag. Great product!

I've got Aquatouch waffle weaves from Alex at Serious Performance, slightly plusher than the poorboys ones - very effective and pass the CD test with ease :)
